How do I place a custom wood and resin order with Dotson Designs?
To order a custom wood and resin piece:
Use the website – Choose the product style closest to what you want (pet portrait, cutting board, display, etc.) and add your customization details.
Contact us directly – Use the contact form or email to share your idea, colors, wording, and any reference photos.
We’ll respond with questions if needed, plus a price quote and timeline before we start your custom design.

Yes. For most custom designs, you’ll receive a mockup or design concept to review. Once you approve the design, we move it into production. Small edits are usually okay at the mockup stage, but major changes after approval may affect cost or timeline.

Production time for custom wood and resin art depends on:
The type of piece (small gift vs. large wall art or complex display)
The level of detail in the design
Our current order volume
Most orders are completed in about 2 weeks after design approval. When you request a quote, we’ll give you a more accurate estimated completion date.

In many cases, yes. If you need a custom gift for a birthday, anniversary, retirement, or other event, let us know your deadline when you reach out. If our schedule allows, we can rush your order for an additional fee.

Yes. Dotson Designs charcuterie boards are made with food-safe resin, and finished with food-safe oils. With proper care, they can last for years.

Décor & display items:
Dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth
Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasives, or soaking
Do not place directly in extreme heat or prolonged direct sunlight
Charcuterie boards:
Hand-wash only—no dishwasher
Do not soak in water
Dry thoroughly after washing
Recondition with food-safe mineral oil or board butter as needed
